Who loves to suck his thumb.....

And has a huge curiosity for helicopters....

I just can't say enough about capturing the spirit and innocence in this little guy, except that I am in LOVE.

It's not always in the staged and propped settings where you can see into the heart of person -

Big or Little.

As long as it's in the moment, you can find it.

iheartfaces Photo Challenge - Pet Faces

When I saw that this month's photo challenge with iheartfaces was Pet Faces, I knew exactly who I had to showcase.  I've known this guy since he was just a pup and happen to be best friends with his Mom.  Now a wise boy of 12, he still has spurts of the young firecracker he once was, and absolutely still has that face you can't help but love... even if it is a little more gray around the edges.

SLHS Cheer Camp Day 3 - Sneak Peek

Today was the last day of Weaston Week for the 2012-2013 Cheerleading Squad of Seven Lakes HS.  Splitting into the two squads (Varisty and JV) for the morning, I got to follow around (mainly) Varsity for their final bootcamp with Coach as well as get some "posed" shots of the girls with their new family.  Some of my favorite pictures came from today and I struggled to put together a "sneak peek" b/c I can't wait to share them all!!  A final thanks to all those involved!  Let me know if you want me back at any point in the year!  I would love to see the growth of the squad and capture those special moments.

SLHS Cheer Camp Day 2 - Sneak Peek

I was back at SLHS Cheer Camp (also known as Weaston Week) for a day filled with paint and choreography.  As an artist myself, run-throughs were always exciting to design and create, and I was thrilled to capture a bit of the process for others to see and this year's squad to hold on to.  The choreography is part of their preparation for next week's "formal" cheer camp in Galveston.  A whole lot to learn in a short amount of time!  And here are just a few from the day.....
