MoeCakes is back on Texas soil. Exotic vacations may be on the short list these days, but not the everyday activities with family and friends! My most recent excursion was watching my niece perform at her latest dance recital. Gorgeous costumes, flowers and a beautiful little girl...it's all the makings of a great photo op. Introducing my niece, Miss Katlyn Nicole.

MiniSessionWithCakes
What do you get when you have a 4 year old, a park, a camera and a tripod?
It's an impromptu mini-session!
During my post-edit, I couldn't help but go back time and again
to black & white, so that's what I chose.
A black & white, spontaneous and fun, mini-session with Cakes...and I'm in love with the final product.
This is why I love what I do...this is what MoeCakes is all about....capturing moments like this.
Today's spontaneous MiniSession was a result of TheArtofDailyLife-365....have you checked it out recently? Follow by email (found at the bottom of 365 blog) and receive each entry directly to your inbox! So easy!

MoeCakes In Amsterdam
In the midst of the transition of MoeCakes Photography from Jakarta to Houston, we decided to make a stop in Amsterdam to visit some friends. You may have seen on TheArtOfDailyLife-365, I fell a little bit in love with the city. The 3 days of perfect weather and climate didn't hurt, as well as the polar opposite landscaping from Jakarta, but overall, the city is so quaint and beautiful. I will definitely put it on my list of places to return....hopefully sooner than later.

The Caron Family
The Caron Family
I just can't say enough about this shoot. We had scheduled for a sunset shoot, and it had rained... okay poured up until a couple hours prior. The field was a puddle and mud filled pit, but it didn't stop the Carons from giving me their all. No complaining, just smiles. It turned out to be a perfect setting. Gorgeous lighting, wonderful attitudes and fantastic shots (we even got to play in the water at the end). They also happen to be great family friends, so it made the experience and results that much better.
Thank you Caron Family!
