Kampung Walk Part I Sneak Peek

Kampung is the word for an Indonesian local neighborhood.  We began in the local market and continued through the tight concrete "hallways" of the kampung.  Crowded with people, kids and yes, even motorbikes - the images and "art" of the local life was plenty.  As I will be going again on Wednesday, I made the choice to work completely in HDR today (18-200mm) and completely in B/W (50mm) on Wednesday.  Here is a sneak peek of Part I --

Northrop Family

A beautiful family with hearts big enough for anyone who enters their life, and personality to rival the best. Close family friends, I was excited and honored to take family photos before they head into the next phase of their adventure....and back stateside. Grammy and Pappy were even in town, from Colorado, and able to be part of the day. The shoot was filled with plenty of adventure...Gage "cooling off" in a local community pool, a leaf fight, and a stop for some entertaining rides. The Animals of Taman Safari

The first weekend of Fall Break we took the girls to one of the "must do's" of Jakarta...a drive to Bogor (hour or so outside of Jak) to Taman Safari. It begins with a drive through a open safari with many different animals. With windows rolled down, the carrots and bananas are very popular and bring several car-side visitors. It's a odd sensation having a cow's horns 3-4 feet across try to stick his head inside your car for a carrot. But the natural setting and proximity of animals allows for some fantastic photography.
